ICT Academy Board of Studies meeting was held at Hotel Taj Club House, Chennai on 28th of June 2019. ICT Academy has a unique Board of Studies with management leaders and technology experts from various industries as members, to set the skill development agenda for the year and to decide on the course, content, technology and skill that ICT Academy should deliver for the development of faculty members and students.
Expansion of BoS
The meeting brought to the table, the idea of expanding the BoS with respect to having exclusive members to focus on specific sectors like Information Technology, IT Enabled Services, Banking & Finance, Electronics, Manufacturing, Construction, Telecom, Entrepreneurship etc. This discussion happened with a vision to bring exclusive skill development initiatives and produce core domain specialists in each of the sectors mentioned afore
Future Partnership
ICT Academy is poised to widen its collaboration with the industry as a CSR implementation partner. This is in line with the Academy’s vision to amplify the social responsibility initiatives of the industry, thereby positively impacting the society through skilling.
Further, the Board discussed on concentrating to enhance the student placements and encouraging student internships.
Youth Talk Contest Launch
During the meet, ICT Academy Youth Talk 2019, the youth’s most sought after contest was launched by the members of Board of Studies. ICT Academy has been organizing “ICT Academy Youth Talk” since 2014, with the aim to evolve the communication skills among the students, the future leaders. ICT Academy Youth Talk has now become a sensation among the students of higher education, competing against each other to exhibit their public speaking skills thus evolving the leadership capabilities. This initiative is envisioned to identify young, powerful communicators and leaders who can communicate their thoughts to inspire the youth and peers in their community.
