Government of Uzbekistan Invites ICT Academy

The Government of Uzbekistan invited ICT Academy for their Nation’s Capacity building Initiatives.

Previously, on the 22nd of May 2018, a conference titled MITCROADMAP2018 was held at INHA University in Tashkent by the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communications Development of Uzbekistan. During the conference, the Roadmap for the radical advancement of the information and communication technologies system for the year 2018-2019, problems and prospects for the development of the ICT industry, IT education etc. were discussed.

In the conference, Azim Ahmedkhadjayev, the Minister of Information Technologies and Communications Development elaborated the present status and future aspirations of ICT sector in Uzbekistan. Following such discussions, the Government of Uzbekistan signed 17 agreements with India on 01st of October 2018 (Monday). In the meet, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev had delegation level discussions and decided to collaborate with each other across various sectors.

In continuation of the MOU signed between the Government of India and Uzbekistan on infrastructure and capacity building in the ICT Sector, the Government of Uzbekistan invited ICT Academy for their Nation’s Capacity building Initiatives.

During the initial meeting held on the 23rd of July 2019 at Tashkent, Mr Umarov Olimjon Mukhammadjonovich, The First Deputy Minister for the development of information technologies and communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan discussed with Mr M Sivakumar, CEO ICT Academy and the representatives from the Government of India on various initiatives being planned for the capacity building and talent development for Information Technology industry in Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan is a Central Asian nation and former Soviet republic. It’s known for its Islamic heritage and other sites connected to the Silk Road, the olden trade route between China and the Mediterranean.
