Step 6 of 7 – Change

Only a change can produce a change.

As a continuation of my previous article on Step 5 of 7: Check Results which speaks of "Don’t get dejected because you couldn’t achieve your set goals, actually you achieved much more than that. Just wonder what you have done, you have taken a leap to change your destiny, and it is not a joke!" The next article which is the Step 6, brings to light the importance of Change.

There are two constants in this world, one is change other is truth, one is the means and other is the end.  A few years back when I asked a group of participants: “Why do you think your company has hired me for?”  There are two constants in this world, one is change other is truth, one is the means and other is the end. A few years back when I asked a group of participants: “Why do you think your company has hired me for?"

To change our mindsets” – was the response!

I burst into laughter, to their surprise.

I said, “God has given me just enough time to change myself; I wish I had more time to change others including my near and dear ones, but I have failed miserably in all my trials and resolved to change only myself all through my life.”  “There is only one person who can change your mindset – yourself.”

Most often, we base our decision to change only on the results we achieve at the end of any journey and ignore the entire journey for the sake of results!

Don’t let results influence your resolve, the resolve to journey again in a renewed direction with renewed hopes.

If you decide to change, it is for your own good, if you don’t decide to change, it is for your own good.  To me change always was and will be cause and effect’.  “Only a change can produce a change, if you change there is an effect, if you don’t change there is an effect.”  Choices we make today lead us to their effects tomorrow.

“It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is most adaptable to change”. Charles Darwin
